About Me

Kia ora, I'm Hayley FORREST
Kia ora, I'm Hayley Forrest, the founder and owner of Forrest Support Services.
As an independent support worker and sole trader, I am passionate about empowering people to live with greater independence, dignity, and confidence. With experience supporting individuals across a range of needs, I provide personalised, reliable, and compassionate support tailored to each person's goals, preferences, and lifestyle.
As a Kiwi-owned business based in Queensland, I bring strong values - Support, Empower and Belong, to every interaction. Whether it's assistance with daily living, community participation, transport, appointments, or achieving personal goals, I am committed to providing support that makes a real difference.
At Forrest Support Services, I believe quality support is built on trust, respect, and genuine relationships. My approach focuses on creating a safe, positive, and empowering environment where participants feel heard, valued, and supported to achieve meaningful outcomes.
My mission is simple: to deliver person-centred support that helps individuals thrive and live life on their own terms.

My Values
Support provides the foundation, Empower builds confidence and independence, and Belong creates meaningful connections. Together, these values guide everything I built at Forrest Support Services, helping people live fulfilling lives with choice, purpose, and community.

Support
The support worker assisted the participant to attend a movie of their choice, providing support with transport, ticket purchase, and navigating the cinema environment. The participant was able to enjoy the outing in a safe and comfortable manner, with support tailored to their individual needs. The activity promoted wellbeing, enjoyment, and access to community-based recreational opportunities.

Empower
The support worker encouraged the participant to independently use her mobile device despite experiencing vision impairment in one eye. With patience and determination, the participant explored features and navigated the device using her preferred methods, demonstrating resilience, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to build confidence with technology. Verbal encouragement was provided to support her independence and promote ongoing skill development.

Belong
The support worker supported the participant to attend a group photography class at the beach, providing assistance to ensure safe participation and engagement throughout the activity. The participant actively joined the group, explored the beach environment, and took part in guided photography tasks alongside others. The activity encouraged social interaction, creativity, and community participation, fostering a strong sense of inclusion and belonging within the group setting.
